English with Adriana is operated by Domus Languages j.d.o.o., a business registered in Croatia. We provide free English-learning resources, the English Speaking Club and private English-speaking coaching.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use our website and services, we may collect:

• Contact information — such as your name and email address.
• Purchase information — such as products ordered, transaction details and billing information.
• Learning information — such as exercises, voice recordings, goals or feedback that you choose to share with us.
• Website information — such as your device, browser, IP address and website activity, subject to applicable cookie rules.

We only ask for information relevant to providing our services or operating our business.

How we use your information

We use your information to deliver free resources, Speaking Club access and coaching; process purchases; answer enquiries; send service updates; maintain website security; and meet accounting or other legal requirements.

Our legal grounds under GDPR include performance of a contract (such as providing purchased Speaking Club access), legal obligations (such as financial record-keeping), legitimate interests (such as responding to enquiries and protecting our services), and consent where required (such as certain marketing and tracking).

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider your rights and interests.

Emails and marketing

If you sign up for marketing emails, we may share English-learning tips, new resources, Speaking Club updates and relevant offers. Where the law permits, we may also tell existing customers about our own similar services.

You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email. We may still send essential messages about purchases, access to your learning materials, or support requests.

Downloading a free resource does not automatically mean you consent to unrelated promotional emails.

Payments and trusted services

We use Systeme.io to support our website, registrations, course delivery and email communications. We also use payment services to process purchases securely and third-party platforms such as YouTube to share learning content. Other communication services may be used where relevant to an agreed service.

Payment providers handle payment details according to their own security and privacy practices. We generally receive the transaction information needed to fulfil your purchase, manage refunds and maintain records.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information with service providers only where reasonably needed to run our services, or where disclosure is legally required.

Some service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use recognised legal safeguards for such transfers.

Cookies and website tracking

Our website may use essential cookies to make the website and checkout work. If we use analytics, marketing cookies or similar tracking technologies, we will provide information and request consent where the law requires it.

You can manage cookies through our website's cookie controls, where available, and your browser settings. Non-essential technologies that require consent should not operate until you have made your choice.

Student work and recordings

If you send us speaking recordings, written exercises or coaching messages, we use them to provide lessons, feedback and support. Recordings you keep on your own device are not shared with us unless you choose to submit them.

We do not publicly share identifiable student work, private messages or testimonials without an appropriate legal basis, such as your permission.

For live Q&A sessions or private coaching, information you choose to share may be processed by the service used to host the session, subject to its privacy practices.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to keep your information secure and limit access to people or service providers who need it for legitimate business purposes.

We keep data only as long as necessary for the reason we collected it: for example, while you have Speaking Club access, while we provide coaching or customer support, while you subscribe to our emails, or for the period required by accounting and tax laws. We may retain minimal unsubscribe information to respect your marketing preferences.

When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it, unless a legal obligation requires us to keep it longer.

Your privacy rights

Under GDPR, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict your personal information, object to certain processing, and request data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time when consent is the basis for processing.

Where relevant, you also have protections relating to certain types of automated decision-making. We do not use solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for our learners.

To make a request, email adriana@englishteacheradriana.com. We normally respond within one month, subject to applicable legal exceptions.

You can also complain to the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency (AZOP) or another competent authority.

Children and external websites

Our services are primarily intended for adult English learners. We do not knowingly collect children's information in circumstances where collection is unlawful or required parental authorisation is missing.

Our website may link to other services, including YouTube and Instagram. These platforms have their own privacy policies and practices.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal obligations change. We will publish the latest version here with an updated date and provide additional notice where required.
